The Overcoat is a theatrical adaptation of the celebrated Nikolai Gogol's tale. It tells of a lonely clerk and the effect a new coat has on his life.
Theatre du Pif first presented The Overcoat at the 2001 Edinburgh Fringe Festival with actors from Edinburgh theatre company Moving Parts, where it received five star reviews and was nominated as the CRITICS CHOICE at the Festival. In 2004, the company revived the production in Hong Kong with a new cast made up of local actors. This autumn, the company will tour the new version of The Overcoat around local schools and universities.
