Acclaimed choreographer Jacky Yu, renowned for his high energy works, has created a further powerful piece to set the theatre on fire with stirring stimulations. Throughout Yu’s new work, not a single piece of stage props is used, for he believes that “emptiness” is the perfect setting to manifest the pure essence of contemporary dance. He sees dancers as the explosion points of energy, while their bodies, use of force and breathing the only tools for controlling movement speed, power and smoothness. The moves in Gestalt are crafted to generate enormous amount of energy which gathers, sprints, and goes wild in the air. Within space tension swells, not tangible but vividly sensible; while dancers are dosed heavily with forward thinking music and blast beats to flare up audience’s minds.

The classic ingredients are there: an isolated country mansion, a dark and stormy night, guests with hidden agendas, a faithful housekeeper, and a mysterious stranger. What will they do with a stubborn corpse that refuses to be found, an overabundance of romantic tension, dangerous games of mahjong, and the immediate threat of murder?
