Yau Ma Tei Theatre has been designated to promote Chinese, and specifically Cantonese, opera. The venue can hold 300 patrons, including 4 spaces suitable for wheelchairs. The theatre is fitted with a 10m by 8.4m stage, a 22 square metre orchestra pit, computerised lighting system, audio, system, motorised fitting system, and subtitle capabilities.
