And the Nominees Are...
17-7-14
The public has voted and chosen the best of the best for the 2013-2014 season! Don't shoot the messenger. We were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and turnout for this year's ceremony. Each category has 5 nominees based on the highest number of votes. We had ties in 3 categories this year, so we have 6 nominees in Best Supporting Actor, Best Designer and Best Standup Comedian. The nominees appear on the ballot in random order.
This year has turned out to be a very interesting ballot. We've had 40 different productions nominated, in 3 different languages, with 9 different styles of performance and over a dozen different nationalities represented in the acting categories. This year's Hecklers are a perfect representation of the beautiful melting pot that is Hong Kong's art scene.
For acting awards where nominees were nominated for multiple shows, they were nominated for the show with the most votes.
Show names have been removed from the Stage Management category, as many of the nominees have worked and been nominated for 2 or more productions they have worked on in the past year and we thought it easier to simply list their names.
For multiple actors being nominated for the same show in "Best Onstage Death" we have put them onto the same ticket line. (We had a lot of fabulous onstage deaths this year to celebrate!)
To get access to the ballot to vote you need to enter your email into the box on the original post about the awards. The link to the ballot will be sent to your email address to assure that the vote is fair. We will get all the ballots out and into your emails by July 20th. (Please let us know if you have requested a ballot and not received it by this date.) Voting on the Final Ballot will close on August 20th.
Save the date for the ceremony at Grappa's Cellar on September 7th at 7pm!
