This was first Aurora Theatre's attempt at musicals, and we can comfortably say that cast and crew nailed it! The Last 5 Years narrates a five-year relationship between novelist Jamie and struggling actress Cathy, using storytelling in reverse chronological order.
Auditions, Sharmon Productions
Mr Sharmon is not only a terrific musical (and non-musical) performer, but he deserves extra credit for writing this whole production which proved to be hysterically funny and emotional at the same time.
Gypsy, The Hong Kong Singers
The Hong Kong Singers presented another classic by Stephen Sondheim; the musical narrates the journey of stripper Gypsy Rose through the eyes of her mother (played by the wonderful Jacqueline Gourlay-Grant), the ultimate show-business parent.
Chitty Bang Bang, Face Productions
A children's classic, Face Productions presents the story of an inventor who, with his children's help, restores an old race car, but little he knows that the car is magic! High energy, fast pace and great songs: a sure success for the whole FP team!
Cinderella The Panto, Hong Kong Players
An exhilarating production for the young and the not-so-young ones, Hong Kong Players never fail to make audiences laugh at Christmas time!
