Coming Soon... Clockenflap
16-11-15
Hong Kong’s biggest arts & music festival is drawing closer and it’s time to start getting excited. Clockenflap – now in its eight year – returns to the West Kowloon Cultural District on November 27th to 29th. With over 45,000 people in attendance last year and 60,000 expected this year, the festival continues to grow.
Highlights to this year's festival's lineup include: The Libertines, Damien Rice, Crownd Lu, Ratatat, Earth, Wind and Fire Experience ft. Al Mcckay, Rachel Yamagata, Life Was All Silence and Owk. Local favorites like Jing Wong, Rock n Rolla, Ocean Lam, The Pop Fugitives and The Anello will be rocking the stages as well.
You can read the full lineup on their website.
For HKELD readers that attend Clockenflap for the art rather than the music there will be performance art and visual art displays and interactive displays for the kids. Club Minky is returning with an exciting local lineup and Jipola is performing, which is always a treat. Hong Kong Walls and the Secret Walls Project will also be creating special displays at the event.
The Clockenflap team describes their event as:
"The best weekend's worth of fun to be had in Hong Kong. It is all this and the ever unexplainable 'more', which can only be experienced by being a part of it yourself. Come with openness and imagination. You shall be rewarded."
Tickets for the festival are available now at Ticketflap.com.
