Kidsfest is Koming!
19-1-15
Parents and children should be delighted to beat the cold and hit the theatres starting this month. Kidsfest has returned! Produced by ABA Productions, it's a three week festival of quality tour shows brought in from the UK to delight our child audiences. This is its third year of being and the festival resides at its home at the APA Drama theatre.
"KidsFest is an exciting Festival for the whole family where compelling characters are brought to life and scenes from well-loved books are enacted vividly on stage. It is a wonderful platform for family interaction and at the same time, nurtures a child’s interest in literature and language. KidsFest has become a key event on Hong Kong’s calendar of cultural events when families can look forward to a series of world-class productions," said Matthew Gregory.
The shows on this year's festival roster include: The Tiger who Came to Tea, Horrible Histories productions, The Snail and the Whale, and many others. There should be a show for every type of child- no matter what age or hobby. They've even brought over Erth's Dinosaur Zoo from Australia!
Tickets for the festival range from 195-435hkd. For parents that automatically gasp at the price, there are discounts if you purchase tickets to two or more productions from Kidsfest. There's additional discounts for large bookings of 10 or more and they're always doing ticket promotions on their Facebook page. To make sure our mommy readers are aware of this policy; there's no minimum age on these productions and all persons are required to have a ticket to enter. (Including babies on your lap.)
We're a big fan of quality children's entertainment at HKELD. If you go see Kidsfest- share your thoughts with us!
