Nominees-Best Theatre for Youth Show
29-7-13
When we announced this category last year people were a little perplexed by it but actually a majority of the money in Hong Kong's theatre/dance industry is made in the theatre for youth market. It's a billion dollar industry! It's a common "fix it" that if your theatre company is not doing well you put on a kid's show to help fill the coffers. Parents love taking their kids to the theatre. And putting on a good quality show for children is an arduous task. Performers nominated in this category are being recognized for creating beautiful shows either for child audiences or with child actors.
