Theatre Game of the Week #3
This is an excellent game for vocabulary building and for days where you're focusing on physical movement. It's just like Telephone, (or as some people call it Chinese Whispers) that you used to play as a kid but you use actions rather than whispering.
Game Name: Body Telephone
Items Needed: Students
Students Required: 10+
Time: 10-20 minutes
Have the students stand in a line all facing the same direction. Tell Student 1 the vocabulary word. They must act out the word to Student 2 with actions only - not using any sound effects. Student 2 must now pass on the action directly without changing it. All the other kids must keep looking ahead, so as not to spoil the game. The student at the end of the line guesses the word. If they are correct, everyone wins! If not correct, we try again. Start with easy words like: happy, cat, dance, sad. Go onto medium words. Then do hard words like school subjects, specific vocab words from other subjects, and the names of classmates. The game is over when everyone has had a turn guessing the word.
This game is a BIG HIT I have found with both primary and secondary students.
In the end: Students should be able to enact vocabulary words using actions only. They also should be able to verbally tell you why some actions weren't clear enough to get the correct answers.

There are certainly plenty of details like that to take into consideration. That is a nice point to deliver up. I supply the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions just like the one you deliver up the place the most important factor will likely be working in honest good faith.
