Smash hit comedy One Man, Two Guvnors has had both West End and Broadway audiences rolling with laughter. Richard Bean’s ingenious play based on Carlo Goldoni’s The Servant of Two Masters interweaves the Italian tradition of comedic improvisation with the best of British humour in this “deliriously daft and diabolically joke stuffed entertainment”(The Independent). The plot turns around an ever-hungry servant and former skiffle-player Francis Henshall, who simultaneously and surreptitiously serves two masters. One is the upper-class Stanley Stubbers; the other is Roscoe Crabbe, who is actually Rachel, disguised as her twin brother murdered by Stanley, Rachel’s lover.
