March 21-22, 7:30pm and 2:30pm matinee on Saturday Postcards from Hong Kong is an entertaining and thought provoking evening of nine world premiere short plays showcasing different perspectives of modern day life in Hong Kong. From the silly to the profound, the abstract to the absurd, these remarkable plays are written by nine promising new Hong Kong writers including Irene Tsang (winner of the 2012 SCMP/RTHK Hong Kong Top Story competition), Vinnci Pun (winner of the ‘Most Creative Award’ 2012 SCMP/RTHK Hong Kong Top Story competition), Wilson Chik, Michael Cheukachi, Kaitlin Trowbridge, Long Wong, Sean Scully, Samuel Chan and Oliver Wong - graduates of the HKU Creative Writing MFA Program. These plays are performed and directed in collaboration with some of Hong Kong’s most accomplished theatre artists. |

Because nowadays, human blood tastes horrible due to stress and disease. There’s also Gobriel, a salesman from a pharmaceutical company. “Ring-a Ring-o’ Rosie” asks some provocative questions: “What is the value of a human life?” and “What is happiness?” Featuring live music and songs, from classical to R&B. |
