Nominees-Best Actress
15-8-14
There's always tougher competition between the ladies in HK. There's more of us. It seems like there are less roles to go around and all the ladies in town are super talented. This year in particular we had a great number of plays with outstanding roles for women. The ladies in this category are the cream of the crop; the best of the best.

Moe Moss, The Maids, RyeT Entertainment and ACT
Moe Moss played the role of the Mistress in The Maids. It was a role that required her to be commanding on stage and posess a quality that would inspire fantasies.
Muriel Hoffman, Venus in Fur, Sweet and Sour Productions
It's not an easy task to play Aphrodite. Miss Hoffman took on the task of playing her in many facets as an actress at an audition and a character in the 17th century story. She also wore a kick-ass pair of boots.
Catherine Haines, Constance, Perilous Mouths
It's a hard job when you're playing a role based on a real person. Catherine Haines played the role of Oscar Wilde's wife in the work, Constance this spring at the Fringe. You guys were obviously big fans of Ms. Haines work.
Tammie Rhee, The Colorado Catechism, TSR Productions
Tammie Rhee was both the producer and actress on this production. She's great at multi-tasking because her acting did not suffer for taking on the admin jobs.
Emma O'Rourke, The Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare in the Port
Emma O'Rourke is a favorite performer amongst local audience members for her stage presence and great vocal quality. She was killer as the shrew.
