Nominees- Best Non-English Show
25-8-15
This award is basically the best show that's not in the English but that is so awesome our audience members saw them, voted for them and thought they were one of the best shows of the year. Good art transcends language barriers and these shows are great examples of shows that are entertaining to audience members from all over the world.

On the Way to the Front, Le French May
On the Way to the Front brought together artists from Asian People’s Theatre Festival Society and Théâtre de l’Ordinaire in a theatre performance that combined mask work, live music, movement, juggling and stories from the East and West.
Hedda Gabler, LCSD
LCSD's Hedda Gabler was a mixture of many great things: fantastic local acting talent, wonderful and innovative stage design and a guest director brought in to helm the project. Adrian Noble's staging was breathtaking.
The Lu Tings, Theatre Horizon
This play told the story of a mermaid tribe called the Lu Tings. Neither fish nor human beings, they tried hard to survive in face of the expanding Han Chinese culture until they could not take it anymore. A massive revolt broke out, which ended in suppression and bloody massacre ― a story of great relevance for Hong Kong today.
Salome, Opera Hong Kong
Richard Strauss’ work was based on the work of the same name written by the infamous Oscar Wilde. Wilde took one of the most salacious stories in the Bible and put it on stage in France where it was called “shocking” and “obscene”. Sounds like perfect material for an opera, if you ask me.
Contempt 2014, Zuni Icosahedron
What is culture? What is theatre? What is Hong Kong? These are just some of the questions Zuni's Contempt 2014 asked. Innovative, original and thought provoking, it was a production that was truly memorable.
