5 Cheap Hacks for Theatre5-7-13
Definition Hack: A clever solution to a tricky problem or every day annoying task. Putting on a theatre show for cheap can be an annoying task for any director. This week I've been working with a local school on their production of Alice in Wonderland. It was a bit of a challenge to do a big show with lots of technical elements and a large cast with a very tiny budget and a limited crew. (Myself and one fabulous Stage Manager.)
Hecklers Update4-7-13
We need to make an announcement that is pretty common sense but it must be stated for legal purposes: Incomplete ballots or ballots that are just plain confusing will not be counted. Spam and hate filled ballots will also be ignored.
The M+ Museum Design: Love it or Hate it?3-7-13
A few days ago the WKCDA finally announced who would be designing the M+ museum at the West Kowloon Arts District. It's been a much talked about project in the art community with 642 million dollars being invested in the project. This year’s play should be even more exciting for fans of local work as it’s a world premiere play by a local playwright.

5 Things I Learned From the Duck19-6-13

The pandemonium the duck caused on twitter and at Harbour City was legendary. People went crazy. When he was deflated for "maintenance" the tweets were so tragic; it was if a national leader had been assassinated. Pablo Picasso said that we have to learn from other artists and their experiences in our community. We can learn what to do and what not to do. Here are 5 things the rubber ducky taught me.
Think Positive18-6-13
Last week we had an article that got a lot of buzz where people shared their feelings on what they would want to change about Hong Kong's theatre scene. Now, I want the flip side. What's your favorite thing about it?
