5 Great Kids Plays16-9-12
In our blog posting yesterday we talked about Theatre in Education and why it can be helpful for teachers as a tool. Today I'm going to talk about children's theatre productions and great plays that I wish someone would produce here. Hong Kong has a huge market for parents that are wanting quality productions that are affordable for their whole family to attend. You shouldn't have to pick between something being good or cheap. I believe there can be both. A great way to get both is by producing scripts that are easy to produce, have wonderful messages and low production costs. I wish all five of these shows would be done here. I think moms and dad's would love to take their kids to see them and frankly, I'd go see them as well.

Here is a Chinese theatre breakdown for those of you who may have been a little shy to explore the traditional arts of China...
Dear Arts Development Council,3-9-12
Recently in the SCMP there was an article written by Vivienne Chow about an upcoming award for local arts critics. I was at first very excited to hear that someone was trying to acknowledge the hard work that writers do to help the art community. But then I read the details. Apparently, the only people who are eligible to win this award are people who write in Chinese.
You got heckled...30-8-12
According to the dictionary the meaning of to heckle is: to interrupt (a public speaker, performer, etc.) by comments, questions, or taunts. Now, I bet you're wondering why we would name our website after such an ugly thing in the performance industry. No one likes a heckler. But here's the rub, I do...
